DR. ASHLEY

Ashley Reddell, OD, FCOVD

Doctor of Optometry, Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee; Residency certification in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy, Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee; Bachelor of Arts, University of Kansas

 

Dr. Ashley Reddell’s special clinical interests include pediatric and binocular vision, primary eye care, contact lenses, eye injuries and diseases, as well as concussion management.

 

Dr. Ashley is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association.

 

In 2015, Dr. Ashley was voted the Kansas Young Optometrist of the Year by her peers.

Dr. Ashley enjoys playing with her little girls, watching KU sports and spending time with her family and husband, Dr. Jonathan Reddell.

DR. REDDELL

Jonathan Reddell, OD

Doctor of Optometry, Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee; Bachelor of Arts, Berry College, Rome, Georgia

 

Dr. Jonathan Reddell’s special interests include primary eye care, contact lenses, eye injuries and diseases, including glaucoma management, cataract evaluation and cataract surgery co-management. Dr. Reddell also visits nursing homes and care facilities to perform comprehensive eye health examinations on site.

Dr. Reddell is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, Eye Care Council, and the Greater Kansas City Optometric Society. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association and its Contact Lens Section.

Dr. Reddell enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and and watching anything related to the Florida Gators.

DR. SIEMER

Matthew Siemer, OD

Doctor of Optometry, Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee; Bachelor of Science, University of Kansas


Dr. Matthew Siemer's special clinical interests include primary eye care, contact lenses, eye injuries and diseases including glaucoma management, cataract evaluation and cataract surgery co-management.

Dr. Siemer is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Siemer is a native of Bushton, Kansas. He enjoys watching KU sports, cycling, hiking, and enjoying time with friends and family.

DR. GUNN

Katherine Gunn, OD 

Doctor of Optometry, Southern College of Optometry, Memphis Tennessee

Bachelor of Science, Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas

 

Dr. Gunn’s special clinical interests include pediatric and binocular vision, primary eyecare, contact lenses, as well as diagnosis and management of ocular diseases.

 

Dr. Gunn is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, the Greater Kansas City Optometric Society,  and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Gunn’s commitment to providing quality eyecare is exemplified by her past work with the Student Volunteers of Optometric Service to Humanity, where she traveled to Ecuador to provide free eyecare to those in underserved populations.

 

Dr. Gunn is a native of Tecumseh, Kansas. Dr. Gunn enjoys attending concerts, dining at local restaurants and coffee shops, and adventuring with her husband, Alex, and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Phog.

DR. TOREN

Laura Toren, OD

Doctor of Optometry, Illinois College of Optometry; Bachelor of Arts, Iowa State University

 

Dr. Laura Toren’s special clinical interests include primary eye care, contact lens fittings, treating eye injuries and diseases including glaucoma, diabetic eye exams, and cataract evaluation and cataract surgery co-management.

 

Dr. Laura Toren has embarked on several philanthropic endeavors, including volunteering her expertise giving vision screenings at the Special Olympics games, as well as volunteering at the Project Homeless Connect KC. She has also spent time travelling with the organization VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) to provide free eye exams and glasses to underprivileged people in Honduras.

 

Dr. Laura Toren is a native of Plattsburg, Missouri. She and her husband Scott reside in Olathe along with their young daughter, Holly.

 

When Dr. Toren is out of the office, she enjoys traveling, volunteering with the youth group at her church, and spending time with her family and friends.

Natalie Nibert, OD

Doctor of Optometry, Southern College of Optometry; Bachelor of Arts, University of Tulsa

 

Dr. Natalie Nibert was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas and completed a Biology degree with a Music minor at the University of Tulsa. Dr. Nibert developed in interest in optometry early on from her own visits to the eye doctor growing up, and developed a special interest in pediatrics. Dr. Nibert graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. While in optometry school, she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, Gold Key Honor Society, Student Government Association, and participated in an optometric service trip to Costa Rica. Dr. Nibert has presented posters at the American Academy of Optometry, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and state association meetings. She received awards for student achievement in research and excellence in contact lens. In 2022, Dr. Nibert completed a residency at Bright Eyes Vision Clinic in Minnesota where she received additional training in pediatrics and brain injury rehabilitation.

 

Dr. Nibert looks forward to getting to know her patients and serving their families! In her spare time, Dr. Nibert enjoys playing the piano, taking care of her plants, participating in local events, and going to Table Rock Lake with her family.
